New Vampire Killing Kits by the Co-author of How To Kill Vampires

Vampire Killing Kit
Original Vampire Killing Kit

CRYSTOBAL, the gothic artist who created the first primitive-style Vampire Killing Kits decades ago, has just built three new kits for the Halloween season.

CRYSTOBAL and I collaborated a few years ago on the book, "How to Kill Vampires because they are unnatural jerks". That book is available through my website, Stardust Mysteries.

These new, highly detailed Vampire Slayer Kits are unique pieces of art, created by hand by the most copied artist of Vampire Killing Kits. CRYSTOBAL asked me to point out that he is, in fact, pretty bitter about lesser "artists" stealing his designs and reproducing them, poorly...but knows that real collectors know the difference. That's why every kit that CRYSTOBAL has built has sold at premium prices, all over the world.

These three Vampire Killing Kits come in three sizes from small to large, and include the Holy Bible, cross-stakes, holy water, and other weapons and tools for disposing of the creatures of the night.

Check out the article on VampireSlayerKits.com for more information. Soon to be up for sale on etsy.

The X Files: Why Lovers of Mid-Century Culture Should Dig This Show

http://tikiloungetalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/xfiles-scully-mulder-jpg.jpg
The short reason: Because science fiction is a huge part of mid-century American pop culture, and The X Files derives its main plot from the “little green men” who started visiting us (according to believers) in 1947.

Mai Kai in Fort Lauderdale, FL is now an Historic Landmark

Congrats to Fort Lauderdale’s Mai Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show for being granted National Historic Landmark status! (It’s about time!)

The Mai-Kai in Fort Lauderdale, FL

The quintessential Tiki Bar/Lounge/Experience has been one of the world’s most elaborate (and famous) Tiki-themed establishments since 1956. It’s gone through a few changes over the years (The Molokai Lounge was created with the ship interior theme in the 1960s) but still retains much of its original architecture and decor, and all of its original charm.

Hey kats and kittens! Slide me a five and knock your peepers to this jazz...

Hep talk, Jive, hipster lingo…It all started with jazz musicians back in the 1920s and 30s. This week we take a look at a "Bop Hipster Dictionary" from 1955. It's gone man, really gone.

MAD MEN Season Six Finale - A little disappointed

MAD MEN Season Six Finale - A little disappointed

Warning: Contains Spoilers.
Well, the sixth season of MAD MEN came to a close a couple of hours ago, and honestly, although I dug the season as a whole, I though the finale was a bit of a let down.
Why, you ask? Why, when it was full of insane twists…Pete’s Mother missing at sea, Pete blowing the Chevy account because he couldn’t drive stick (and getting thrown under the bus…or the Camaro..by Bob), Don’s ousting, Peggy & Ted’s on-impulse affair…

"Murder Me, Murder You", Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer starring Stacy Keach, 1983 |

"Murder Me, Murder You", Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer starring Stacy Keach, 1983 |

It’s in color, made for TV, and from the ’80s…in spite of all that, this flick is a surprisingly well done, gripping movie with Keach playing Hammer truly like his namesake from  the book. He pulls no punches, and has no qualms about killing the bad guys.
